We are seeing JW history in the making
by suavojr inwith all the current changes and downsizing, the 1914 "anchor date" appears to be drifting out to sea.
yes, i know the gb is putting all of their chips on 1914 but if you stop and think about it for a moment.. we are seeing jw history in the making for the next jw generation of 2114.. first they teach a date as significant.second, when it becomes obsolete, they come up with a convoluted explanation of how it really was significant, just not in the way "some believers" once taught.third, it becomes a historical footnote, as in: "bible students at one time thought... but now we see... evidently... .
the next generation of jws (100 years from today) will be talking about 2014 as the year of great expectation, and how close the end is in 2114. yes, when jesus spoke about this generation evidently he was talking in a symbolic way, and he was truly referring to the generation class.. .

The sooner the brothers find out that the G.B. has covered over pedophiles' crimes and is now having to fork out mi££ion$ for their complicity, the better!!

Maybe the penny will drop as to why there is a new "donation agreement" next week!!!!!

After I became an unbaptized publisher, the Elder with whom I was studying brought the visiting C.O. to my home.
The only words of the C.O. which stuck in my mind are these - "Searcher, if you show someone three Scriptures as proof of something and they don't accept it, then they are not going to accept several more Scriptures - don't waste any more time on them."
Likewise with Witnesses; even though you show them a Bible truth in black and white in their own Bibles - MOST will reject it it and wriggle & squirm to justify their default position. For the first few months, non-payers will be reminded via Local Needs that breaking their vow is a SIN by reading Deuteronomy 23:21 to them. But I'll bet they won't read out what verse 22 says!
After the first few months of the expected failure of payments, a letter from the Org informing the sheep of a "new arrangement" to simplify the collection of the filthy lucre will be read out - direct payment of contributions from the publishers own bank accounts!
Cries of, "Oh that makes sense", will resonate around the Kingdom Halls worldwide, quickly followed by the sound of many feet heading for the exits!

Excellent and accurate summation of the laziness of Witnesses - and I'm not being unfair to my brothers and sisters by saying that.
When speaking to a brother recently about a false teaching of the Org, (former Service Committee Elder) he commented, "But Searcher, you're far better at doing Bible research than I am!" Cop-out!!
He was an Elder who used to give Public Talks, was a "shepherd" of the congregation, and has a college degree!!!! Whereas I left school with no qualifications, hated reading books, and detested studying anything!
Witnesses just want their ears tickled by 'Mother', and will roll over whenever they are told to do so. They have no more self-respect or independent thinking ability than performing animals in a zoo - they are totally controlled (willingly) in every aspect of their lives by their 'gods' in Brooklyn in whom they depend for their salvation!
God help them!!!

The reason the Society keeps everyone busy with "campaigns"
by stuckinarut2 inim sure that many have had an experience where we try and keep little kids "occupied" while on a boring trip, such as a car ride or plane flight.. we come up with "games" like..."lets see how many green cars we can count", or "lets try and see who can sit still for the longest time".
"the winner gets a prize!".
obviously, until they are wise enough to cotton on, all we are doing is keeping them occupied to prevent them asking things like "are we there yet?!".

The Circuit Overseer's mid week talk
by stuckinarut2 inso the mid week talk from the co is making me feel ill..... he is going on about all the wonderful adjustments in the org and teachings, and just how clear and understandable they are....and saying that these truths make us more convinced that we have the truth!.
and that all these changes are evidence of love for the people in our territory... the truth is now so much clearer and easier to understand..... oh come on!!!!!!!!.

Circuit Overseers must be shaking in their Ministry boots - wondering if/when the redundancy axe will fall on them, and Christian Couple School graduates will be used to replace them as UNPAID Travelling Overseers, just as the apostle Paul worked while visiting congregations throughout the region!
The Org's cost-cutting is not up to top speed yet - I suggest there's a lot more pain to come!

Trouble is brewing for those who distribute the G.B.'s publications in the Russian Federation.
Perhaps Witnesses in Russia should just use their Bibles without the literature - that might save them a lot of prejudice and grief.
Go on G.B., spare these poor people being persecuted for being duped into handing out your "present truths" ravings; tell them not to bother anymore! Their blood will be upon you self-appointed, Glorious Ones!
However, that would make them look too much like Christians, and not enough like Watchtower Witnesses!

Most Witnesses are watching & waiting for the Great Trib to kick off, therefore, they are expecting 'it' - soon!
But what if the 'it' is what 1 Peter 4:17 speaks about????
I don't know any Witnesses who have ever given this Scripture a second thought, let alone expected it! Fits the bill.

I heard an interesting piece of information from a super-elder today
by Barrold Bonds intoday i attended the special assembly day (sad lol).
i overheard a conversation between an elder and another elder.
we'll call this guy a super elder because he's on all sorts of committees in the area.

On the topic of potential heat-stroke etc. in the Washington area, (or anywhere else for that matter) I'd simply remove the compulsory tie & jacket, and wouldn't give a monkey's for what any judgmental automaton said or thought!
It would just make many others wish they had the backbone to do the same!
